Story Games announced on Wednesday thatFortniteChapter 2 season 3 has been delayed once again. The season is scheduled to start on June 17, for now.
Here is season 3’s third delay. It was first delayed back in April, then it was delayed for another week on May 28.Fortnitealso had an tournament that was previously scheduled for Saturday, May 6, that has now been pushed back to Monday, June 15. Earlier delays had been to make certain that the season was ready for launch.
According to a statement released by Story along with the announcement, this time the delay is due to “recent events,” which Story says, “are a heavy reminder of ongoing injustices in society, from the denial of basic human rights to the impact of racism each overt and delicate against of us of shade.”
Story doesn’t specify what these “recent events” are and what “overt and delicate” acts of racism it is referring to, but it is probably a reference to the homicide of George Floyd at the hands of law enforcement officials in Minnesota on May 25. Since then, thousands of Americans have protested police violence and racism in cities all across the nation. Then again, whereas Story does point out racism in its statement, it would now not point out any of the various things without delay.
