The Last of Us Part 2’s Laura Bailey, Neil Druckmann, and Naughty Dog Respond to Online Harassment

“Although we welcome critical discussion, we condemn any fabricate of harassment or threats directed towards our team and cast. Their safety is our top precedence, but we must always all work together to root out this sort of behavior and maintain a positive and compassionate discourse.”

An hour later, The Last of Us Part 2’s director Neil Druckmann shared some of the hate he has been getting.

“You can care for or hate the game and share your ideas about it,” Druckmann said. “Unfortunately too many of the messages I’ve been getting are vile, hateful, & violent. Right here are accurate a handful of them (really feel it’s important to reveal.) Trigger Warning: transphobic, homophobic, anti-Semitic, and many others.”
